Pavo FibreNuggets Hard are dry-fed grass pellets, also known as hay cobs. It can be used as additional roughage, replacement of normal roughage, or as a healthy treat.

Roughage is the foundation of every horse’s diet, providing essential nutrients and fibres that support overall health. Naturally, not only the amount, but also the quality of roughage is of great importance to the health and wellbeing. Pavo FibreNuggets Hard is a high quality roughage product, also referred to as hay cobs, that can be used to add roughage to the ration, substitute normal (poor quality) roughage, to mix with concentrates to extent the eating time or can be given as a healthy treat.
100% natural hay cobs
Pavo FibreNuggets Hard is made from a specially seeded grass mix, chosen for its rich fibre content. The hay cobs are made from 100% natural grasses, including timothy grass and are free of grains, molasses and any other (sugar) additives. The level of sugar and starch is very low, making it suitable for horses and ponies that are sensitive to sugar and grains. Additionally, Pavo FibreNuggets Hard is of a very consistent quality without dust due to controlled drying. This also makes it the ideal roughage supplement for horses that are sensitive to dust.
No soaking required. Just scoop & feed!
One of the things that makes Pavo FibreNuggets Hard special, is the fact that it should be fed dry - no soaking required. Therefore no preparation time is needed, just scoop & feed. Due to an unique pressing technique, a harder and more dense cob is created, encouraging your horse to chew thoroughly. Chewing is not only necessary to grind feed, it also stimulates saliva production, which plays a key role in buffering the very sour stomach acid and supporting digestive processes. Fun fact: extending chewing time helps to release endorphins, often referred to as ‘happiness hormones’, naturally supporting the horse’s mental well-being.
